Collective wealth and social values

Innovation Life Canada recognizes and promotes innovation in life sciences as a generator of collective wealth and Canadian social values.

 

 

Objectives 

 

  • Foster a better understanding of the importance of research and innovation in society.
  • Stimulate the interest of youth in scientific careers.
  • Create bridges between the scientific community, the industry, the federal and provincial institutions, the school system and the public at large.
  • Reinforce a scientific culture by facilitating the work of teachers.
  • Recognize exceptional and promising talent displayed by students and researchers
  • Carry out various projects and activities, including awarding Prix Galien yearly, in order to promote a better understanding of the value of  biopharmaceutical and life sciences research and innovation.

 

 

 

 

 

Bernard Lachapelle

President Innovation Life Canada

Bernard Lachapelle is the president of JBL & Associates, a consulting firm in public and governmental affairs  specialized in questions relating to the health industries. During his career, Mr. Lachapelle occupied positions of senior executive inside recognized pharmaceutical companies. He has a considerable experience of governmental businesses, development of policies and management of the health system. He also has a vast international experience, having been an active member in several international associations and committees.
